Justice for Bristol Twp Woman Shot and Killed Six Years Ago Today Remains Elusive in the Deafening Silence

Today is six years ago since shots rang out followed by screams from an alleyway on the 2400 block of Bloomsdale Road taking Cashe Conover a young woman just coming into her own from the physical world to the realm of the spiritual.

It is said that her murderer(s) don’t want her name-Cashe Conover- spoken publicly or in news reports.

That silence needs to be shattered; And so here we are.

The grief and loss, of a young daughter taken from a mother, resonates within us at the most basic instinctual level.

A smart woman I know once said “Child might be father to man but daughter becomes mother to us all.”

Conover still lives in the brightness and luster of the Bloomsdale community where she lived and was murdered.

The suspect(s) who, according to community sources, obliterated memorials created to honor her life and remind them of her killing.

The silence provides comfort; It aids and abets the killer (s).

“Turn Up the Beat” so many songs say.

Conover’s spirit remains in the unconfined spaces above Bloomsdale looking down and upon because her killer(s) are among the living; but not free a friend of hers said.

“Not free by a long shot…”

Introduced to her mother Charmane Steed at an October 2021 press conference at Bristol Township Municipal Complex, Steed is a deeply devout Christian woman. She has faith the killer(s) will pay the price in this world we currently inhibit.

She believes there will be “Justice for Cashe”

Last summer I spoke with Steed at a community meeting about the complexity of all the dynamics between us as people from vastly different life experiences and ethnic backgrounds coming together on a wooden staircase focusing

She responded to speculation about her 22-year-old daughter that was circulating by sources none of which will be given life or credence here because it remains speculation many believe put out into the community to justify her daughter’s killing.

Simply stated its called “blame the victim”

Nothing justifies cold-blooded murder nor aiding the killer to remain uncharged.

Steed said she was ok with being on the record that night because she “wants answers and justice for Cashe.

Discussed and shared was an understanding we separately have told by our separate contacts of some of the circumstances;

The killer(s) are known to investigators but they lack that one critical piece of evidence and someone to speak to it in order to break out the bracelets.

Investigators have said little since the gunfire heard that Sunday night at around 11 p.m.

She related what’s been repeated after the Philadelphia Eagles played. And last week they declined to comment for this story.

It is frustrating Steed said that arrests have yet to be made and there is little in terms of new information about the circumstances from that deadly night.

Philadelphia-based TV News Stations pointed to the video cameras on street lights in the Fleetwing/Bloomsdale Garden section as potentially a key factor in identifying the killer(s).

Investigators declined comment on the topic the night of the shooting and at that press conference that took place days before a municipal election was set to take place.

Steed’s take on the investigation is different. She said sh knows there is/are people walking around or currently incarcerated for other crimes that know!

“We’re in this era with this no snitch thing” she said “but if it were your child how would you feel?”

Her faith in the killer(s) being brought to justice comes in the form of someone out there who knows and or has critical information for investigators but won’t share until they themselves get jammed up behind a case with serious charges that has them staring at decades in state prison.

The silence remains deafening to family and friends.

A brick of truth and courage is needed to shatter it… still… six years later.
