A Levittown man caught attempting to break into a Bristol Township business was charged with a slew of offenses for burglary and threatening to “kill” officers and their families this weekend.

Ali  Harrison-El, 51  is charged with  five counts of terrorstic threats, resisting arrest, use of an instrument of crime, and related offenses connected to his alleged attempted burglary at Diamond Auto located on 3100 Bath Road.

Bristol Township Police were dispatched to the business shortly after 10 p.m Saturday night for a burglary in progress report, court records show.

The complainant  told police, while they were en route to the busy auto detailing business, a man had broken the windows of the business with a metal chain with a pad lock attached to it smashing windows. She confronted the man, taking a photograph of him, with her cell phone. The victim, told police, the suspect ignored her, fleeing on to Bath Road on his bicycle.

The victim provided police a detailed description of the suspect – black male, sun glasses, t-shirt with “music” written on it and black shorts. A Bristol Police officer noticed a man fitting the description riding through the police department parking lot on Bath Rd holding a large knife, court records show.

Police say, Harrison-El discarded the knife on Bristol Oxford Valley Rd but seemed to be unaware of the police presence. Officers confronted the suspect demanding he give himself up, however, he refused to comply with the directives and was taken to the ground and cuffed.

Police say the suspect “struggled with” them trying to pull away and while “threatening to kill them” as they subdued the him.

Harrison-El was taken to Lower Bucks Hospital for an undisclosed reason and while there he continually threatened officers stating he was a United States Marine Scout sniper with a high confirmed kill count and that he had a .50 round caliber round for each of the five officers guarding him, the criminal complaint alleges.

He said he would ‘murder’ the officers and their families and they should check their vehicles for explosives because he would be putting C4 under them to blow them up.

Once at Police Headquarters, Harrison-El  was observed on video scraping away at window sealant in the cell he was in, and according to police, he bent his leg iron shackles too causing approximately $550 in total damages in addition to $300 for breaking the businesses window.

The probable cause affidavit also notes the suspect  has a “history of damaging police property.”

During processing, court records show,  Harrison-El attempted to bite a Sergeant, getting just a small part of his arm because he was able to pull away.

During a search of the man’s belongings, a small amount of marijuana was found and pills stamped “S/G 177,” which is a medicine (Gabapentin)  used to treat seizure and mood disorders.

Harrison-El, was sent to Bucks County Correctional  on 10 % of $1000.00 bail as he is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on August 21.
