Levittown Woman Charged for Setting 3 Fires in 24 Hrs , Burning Her Home Down

A Levittown woman is now charged with setting  three fires at her home times in less than 24 hours with the last fire destroying the Yellow Wood Drive home for financial gain. 

Catherine Gerretz, 58 the owner of the home, is charged with arson endangering property, intimidation of a witness, insurance fraud
and related offenses. 14 of the 35 counts filed against her are arson related felony counts; which includes seven counts related to arsoon for financial gain counts

Gerretz was arrested  Tuesday afternoon with preliminary arraignment  held by Magisterial District Judge Kevin P. Wagner and bail was set at 10% of $200,000.00

On June 10, 2025, at approximately 3:05 a.m. hours Bristol Township Police, along with Levittown Fire Company #2, Edgely Fire Company, and Third District Fire Company, responded to 23 Yellowood Drive, Levittown, for the report of a fire. The fire was extinguished prior to police and fire arrival, authorities said.

At approximately 830 a.m Bristol Township Fire Marshal Dippolito and Officer Paul Aita responded to the residence and observed an additional two areas of fire damage to the residence. These additional fires all self-extinguished prior to the Fire Marshal’s
arrival, police said.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito deemed all these fires to be incendiary, authorities said.

On June 11, 2025, at approximately 1:29 a.m. Bristol Township Police, along with Levittown Fire Company #2, Edgely Fire Company, Third District Fire Company, Bristol Township Fire Marshal, Newportville Fire Company, and Morrisville Fire Company, responded to the same
residence for another report of a fire. The residence sustained substantial damage and was deemed uninhabitable by Dippolito

The fire marshal ruled this fire to also be incendiary. .

Bristol Township Detectives conducted an investigation led by Detective Emilyann Maialetti and Detective Timothy McDonald. The investigation resulted in Gerretz, being charged with arson endangering property, Lt. Patrick Kitchenman said.

Gerretz is scheduled to appear for a court date on October 7. She has no attorney of record according to online court records.
