State Senator Steve Santarsiero (D-Bucks) and state Rep Tina Davis (D Bucks) recently announced they secured state funding for several important projects in Bristol Borough, and Bristol Township.
These investments, the lawmakers said, will support working families, expand educational opportunities, and spur local economic growth and provide first responders with state of the art equipment to meet the ever growing demands rescue situations present.
The projects receiving state support:
Supporting Families & Basic Needs
- Bucks County Opportunity Council (Bristol) – $22,750
Funding will help address food insecurity in Bristol and across Bucks County through a network of food pantries and farmers market–style distribution sites, serving residents in an area considered a food desert. - Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania (Bristol) – $90,000
This funding expands access to free legal services for low-income residents in six Lower Bucks communities, helping families facing eviction, foreclosure, domestic violence, and barriers to employment.
Economic Development & Job Creation
- Riverside Industrial Complex, Inc. (Bristol Port Facility) – $500,000
This investment will support construction of new rail infrastructure and site improvements, enabling direct rail transport, creating 9 jobs, and retaining 51 existing jobs in Bucks County. - Levittown–Fairless Hills Rescue Squad – $355,000
This funding will support the purchase of a new, state-of-the-art ambulance to serve Bristol and Falls Townships, replacing an aging vehicle and ensuring faster, safer emergency care.
These projects reflect our commitment to investing in the health, safety, and future of our community, the lawmakers said, delivering real results for Lower Bucks County.
