Falls Township Fire officials are investigating the cause of the New Years Eve fire in the Pinewood section of Levittown that destroyed a home, first responder sources said.

Late Monday, Tullytown fire officials confirmed the investigation to Lower Bucks Source but declined to provide any additional information.

At just after 6:30 pm fire crews were dispatched for a report of fire near the attached garage, 40 block of Poplar Lane. The blaze quickly extended into the residence, officials said, with the heat of the fire so intense it melted paneling on the home to the right of it.

No injuries were reported, however, it appears the family cat “Allie” perished in the blaze.

Homeowner Shannan Engle told Lower Bucks Source she was holding out hope in finding Allie.

Although she feels Allie is still in the house, she doesn’t know for sure. People are looking for Allie around the neighborhood as it is possible, she escaped during the chaos, she said.

Meanwhile a Go Fund Me Page was launched early Monday raising about $14,000 from 310 donations as of early Tuesday morning.

““Everyone has been here for us,” Engle said.

Ron Roberts a local emergency services video documentarian posted a 33 minute video of how firefighters from, Levittown #’s 1, 2, Edgely, Tullytown, Fairless Hills, Morrisville, William Penn and Falls Township Fire Companies beat back the blaze.

First responders were in service for about three hours, officials said.
