A bicyclist was injured at the intersection of Bristol-Oxford Valley Road and Oxford Valley Road on Thursday and sent to St. Mary’s Medical Center. The injuries were non-life threatening, police said.
Falls Township Police were dispatched to a two vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection on Thursday, May 2, at approximately 4:40 p.m., said Lieutenant Christopher Clark.
A 36-year-old male Levittown resident, operating a gas-powered bicycle west on Oxford Valley Road drove through a stop sign and made a sharp right to head north onto Bristol-Oxford Valley Road towards Lincoln Highway, Lt. Clark said.
The bicyclist struck a green Nissan Xterra head-on. The Nissan was operated by a 20-year-old female resident of Levittown. Police said, the female driver was not injured. The male operator was transported to St. Mary Medical Center with injuries.
