A 23 year-old Mercer County contractor has been arrested and charged for what Falls Twp Police say for are deceptive business practices and receiving advance payment and not completing work contracted for.
According to police, on Friday January 9, 2026 at approximately 2:24 p.m., officers were referenced to a business dispute on the 40 block of Tapered Oak Lane, in the Falls Twp. section of Levittown.
The reporting party, according to court records, said in August of 2025 she contracted JNW Construction LLC to repair the concrete sidewalks out front of her home. She spoke with business owner, Justin Michael Wright, who drafted an estimate for the work totaling $4,146.00 and she was required to pay 50% of as a down payment for the work to begin.
Due to the business not being licensed in the state of Pennsylvania, the work was unable to be completed and the complainant has still not received her down payment back, police said. She said she has been in communication with Wright for several months, but he stopped answering her calls. She also said that during those months Wright advised her that a reimbursement check would be dropped off at her doorstep or mailed back to her in the amount that was owed, valued at $2,073.00, which didn’t occur, police said.

Police reached out to Wright via phone call several times, receiving no answer.
Wright messaged the officer back once, asking who was calling, to which the officer identified himself and what the calls regarded. Wright then, police said, stopped taking calls from investigators.
The officer reached back out to the victim to see if she received any further contact from Wright after phone calls from the police, to which she said “no”.
Police researched Wright’s company “JMW Construction LLC”on Angie’s List, who initially recommended using JMW Construction. There police read several one star reviews on the company of users who expressed similar incidents with Wright in regard to compensated incomplete work and poor communication.
It also must be noted there are several favorable reviews on the work completed by Wright’s construction company
Wright was arrested and charged on June 26 and was released on unsecured bail. He is due back in court on July 22 for a preliminary hearing. He has no attorney of record according to publicly available records as of publication time.
