Coroner Rules Falls Workplace Death “Accidental” as OSHA Opens Investigation

The work place death at Mazza Steel last Monday in Falls Township was ruled accidental, the Bucks County Coroner’s office said Friday.

“Oscar C. Martinez Bravo, a 52-year-old Mexican/Chicano, from Trenton N.J. male died from  multiple injuries he suffered in an industrial accident at his place of work in Falls Township. While his  manner of death is accidental, the incident remains under investigation,” said Coroner Meredith  Buck. 

The preliminary police investigation determined that a 32 year old male resident of Quakertown Borough, who is an employee with Mazza Steel, was operating a front end loader when accidentally drove over a 52 year old male resident of Trenton, New Jersey, who is an employee of Mazza Steel, and was engaged in a work-related task unrelated to the operation of the front end loader,” Lt Chris Clark said last week.

Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene duer severity of the injuries he suffered. authorities said.

And on Tuesday OSHA announced it was investigating the accident for possible safety violations.
