Distraught Bristol Man Tells Police “I’ll Grab Your Gun”

A Bristol man has been charged with aggravated assault, disarming a police officer, reckless endangerment and related offenses in connection to a domestic incident last week in Falls Township.
Police were called to the Commons at Fallsington in the Morrisville section of the township at around 6 p.m. on May 7 for a domestic incident. Upon arrival Frederick Kornstedt, 30, started to walk towards the responding officers vehicle “in a confrontational manner” police said and was told to stop. Kornstedt, crying at the time, approached the officer and told him “I’ll grab your gun” and tried to do so but was taken down successfully, police said in a release.
The suspect was then taken into custody but when placed in the patrol car he kicked at officers attempting to flee and causing minor injuries to at least two officers, according to court records.
Kornstedt, was arraigned by on-call District Judge Daniel Baranoski who sent the suspect to Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent $75,000.00 bail, according to online court records. He is tentatively scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on May 18.
