A Bristol man has been charged with one misdemeanor and a summary offense for an incident that occurred last month at the Bristol Elks Lodge in which the accused allegedly used racially incendiary term to intimidate the victim in the presence of his teenage son, police say.
According to the criminal complaint, incidents dating back to July of 2022, the victim told police, and were initiated by another member of the club, located on Wood Street, Carl Kilgore, 59.
The victim said, on Saturday, May 18, he was shooting pool with his son, when Kilgore walked up and “got into his face.” The victim asked him to walk away because his son didn’t need to see or be a part of the confrontation, the probable cause alleges.
Kilgore, the victim said him a ‘S**c’ twice and threatened him.
The victim also told police, days before Kilgore shoved him with his shoulder as he was leaving an office from inside the Elks Club.
A mail summons with a preliminary hearing date scheduled for July 24 has been sent to Kilgore, court records show.
