A fight breaks out at a residence, involving bats and rocks, and at the end of the fight, between two generations of families, a father is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault, his son, the son’s uncle and three other connected to the multigenerational brawl are facing serious charges also.
On July 20 around 10 p.m., two females drove to a residence on the 9700 block of Lowell Drive in the Falls Township section of Morrisville to visit a family. As they were leaving, the car they arrived in was being pelted with rocks by two individuals. They were later identified as Jayden Meyer, 18, Lowell Dr., the ex-boyfriend of the passenger, who said she still talks with family members, and Meyer’s new girlfriend, Kayla Pugh, 18, Levittown.
The female motorist called her father to the area, who arrived on the scene with his son, his wife and his son’s girlfriend, according to the probable cause, shortly thereafter.
Falls Township police were dispatched to a fight in progress at the 9700 block of Lowell Dr. at approximately 10:20 p.m., the two officers observed a crowd on Lowell Dr. with one man yelling at another who was with a group at a residence. One officer had the group in the road get down on the ground until officers could determine what was happening and the other officer pushed back the group at the residence, said police.
One man, identified as Anthony Meyer, 26, of Lowell Dr., approached the officer in the road, who observed him to have blood running down his face and with an injury to his eye. He informed the officer, he was hit in the face by a bat and pointed to a man who allegedly attacked him. The man later identified as the father of the female driver, was also bleeding and said he was hit on the top of the head with a bat by the father of Jaden Meyer, who he believed to be Michael Meyer II, 37, Lowell Dr., police wrote in court papers.
Two bats were discovered at the scene, an aluminum Louisville slugger bat with what appeared to be blood on it and a black aluminum MacGregor bat which did not appear to have blood on it. The Louisville slugger was swabbed for DNA and the female driver’s father provided a DNA sample. The bat and DNA swabs were entered into evidence, due to a conflicting story told to them by Jayden Meyer’s friend, Collin Heffner, 19, Morrisville. Police were told by Heffner, he threw a rock at the driver’s father and it hit him on the head. Police believed Heffner may have been covering for Michael Meyer, police said in the probable cause,

Two vehicles were damaged during the fight, a white Chevy truck belonging to Michael Meyer and a vehicle belonging to the wife of the female driver’s father. Police said, the driver’s brother admitted to taking a bat to the truck’s window.
The driver’s brother said, he went to talk with Jayden Meyer because the two of them were cool with each other and were not fighting. Pugh came after him and started to swing and punch, not wanting to hurt a girl, he pushed back at her and grabbed her by the neck to try and stop her hitting. He kept telling Jayden Meyer to get Pugh so she would stop. The driver’s brother continued that Anthony Meyer, Michael Meyer and a cousin, Saundra Landman, 24, Morrisville, came over and started hitting him, got him on the ground and started to punch him. His father came over to help him and ended in a fight with Anthony Meyer and was punched in the eye. His girlfriend tried to help and started to fight with Pugh and Landman. According to police, he did not appear to have injuries that were consistent in fighting with three or four people.
Anthony Meyer, uncle to Jayden Meyer, was checked by Capital Health rescue squad and taken to the hospital for further evaluation. The extent of the injury was unknown. The father of the female driver came to the police station and informed them that he had hospital paperwork showing he received six staples to his head and that the Michael Meyer, Jayden Meyer and Heffner made threats to his family of coming to their residence to “shoot up the place”.
Police met with the female driver and her family. They were informed that the officer spoke to the district attorney’s office who said were they were not being charged and they were victims in this case, court records show.
Michael Meyer was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault with attempt to cause serious bodily injury, simple assault, possession of a instrument of crime and disorderly conduct. Michael Meyer’s preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for August 6. He was unable to post bail – 10%/$50,000, and was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility. He has no attorney of record, according to online court records.
Anthony Meyer, Jayden Meyer, Heffner, Landman and Pugh were all charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. Jayden Meyer, Pugh, Heffner were also charged with terroristic threats to terrorize another.
The other defendants received summons and their preliminary hearings are currently scheduled for August 27.
