A Falls Township man involved in a domestic dispute stands accused of strangling the victim and while doing so attempting to lift the victim of the ground late last month.
On Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:02 p.m., Falls Township Police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Chandler Drive in the Morrisville section for a domestic dispute report.
Upon arrival on scene, police spoke with the victim who advised that she had been assaulted by the defendant, later identified as Javier Alarcon Garcia.
The victim advised that after a verbal argument, Alarcon Garcia grabbed her around the neck with both hands and began to squeeze. He then attempted to lift her off of the ground by her neck. During the course of the altercation, the victim also sustained scratches to her neck, shoulder, and lower back, written by police in the affidavit.
Judge Charles D. Jonas arraigned Alarcon Garcia, 33, on a single count of felony strangulation, a misdemeanor charge of simple assault and a summary charge of harassment. Bail was set at $75,000.00. Unable to post 10%, he was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility (BCCF). Alarcon Garcia’s bail was reduced last Friday to 10 percent of $10,000.00 however he remains in custody.
Alva & Moscow LLC, out of Bala Cynwyd, according to court records, was hired for Alarcon Garcia to represent his interests during upcoming court proceedings
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 11, 2025 and is to appear before Judge John T. Galloway.
