Falls Man Trashes Wawa, Sets Fire in Mobile Home, Arrested & Bail Denied, Cops Say

A local man apparently had a fit of rage late Friday night trashing a Falls Township Wawa, the mobile home he shares with his girlfriend, and setting a pile of belongings on fire while the residence was occupied, according to police.

Ryan R. Jackel was arraigned by on-call District Judge Kevin P. Wagner at approximately 7:45 a.m. on one felony count of arson, two counts of reckless endangerment, and two counts of child endangerment, denying him bail “due to the nature of the charges,” online court records show.

On Friday, May 22, 2026, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Falls Township Police were dispatched by Bucks County Radio to the Wawa located at 1244 Old Bristol Pike, Morrisville section of Falls Township. Dispatch advised that a Wawa employee called to report Jackel was on scene destroying the store and throwing items at the building, the criminal complaint alleges.

Upon arrival, police entered Wawa and observed merchandise scattered throughout the store.

Falls Twp Police officers spoke with the wife who said that her husband entered the store, began yelling, and picked up a merchandise rack, which he threw onto the floor. Jackal then went outside and threw the wife’s belongings against the building.

She said he subsequently left the area and returned to their Falls Twp. residence located on the 7400 block of Hewson Drive.

Officers, according to court records, drove to the residence and observed Jackal asleep inside a vehicle parked in the driveway. Police approached the driver’s side of the vehicle and asked him to exit.

Officers noted in court papers lacerations on Jackal’s hands and feet.

Jackel told police, he was at Wawa and was upset further elaborating that he had intense thoughts of harming himself.

Police placed him in handcuffs and secured him in the rear of the patrol vehicle.

Outside the residence, police saw toys, pieces of flooring, and blood on the front door, according to court records.

Police entered the residence and observed blood on the living room floor, broken pieces of flooring, and children’s toys scattered throughout the room. In the dining room, a kitchen table had been split in half, with a fire extinguisher resting on top of it. In the hallway, there was a pile of items that appeared to have been burned, the criminal complaint alleges.

Police spoke with Jackel’s girlfriend.

She said she witnessed him damage items inside the home and then set a pile of belongings on fire while multiple occupants were inside. Also present inside the residence were their roommate and Jackal’s two children, police said in the criminal complaint.

Jackel is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on June 3. He presently has no attorney of record, according to online county court records.
