Falls Township: Bicyclist Fatally Injured In Accident On S. Pennsylvania Ave In Morrisville

A male bicyclist was struck and killed early this morning in the Morrisville section of Falls Township.

Falls Township Police were dispatched at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Monday, October 2, to the 1900 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue to investigate the accident.

According to Falls Township Police, The preliminary investigation determined that a 24 year old male from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, was driving his 2008 Pontiac Grand Am on South Pennsylvania Avenue when he struck a male bicyclist, who was driving in the same lane.

Due to the severity of the collision, the bicyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The operator of the motor vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Alcohol, drugs, or a medical emergency are not believed to be factors in cause of the accident.

The bicyclist has yet to be identified. He is described as a black male, in his 40s to 50s, with tattoos on his chest and left forearm.
