A Levittown man has been charged with disseminating images of children engaged in sex acts, viewing child pornography and a related offense, Wednesday afternoon.

Matthew. Johnson, just turned 36 was allegedly caught by Bucks County Detectives earlier this year, as part of a undercover operation that uses  computers to monitor internet traffic on a file sharing network

Johnson was arraigned earlier today by Justice Jan Vislosky in Falls Township District Court, where was he was released on unsecured bail.

Matthews is an IT employee at Lower Bucks Hospital, police noted in the probable cause criminal complaint.

According to Bucks County investigators. who are also assigned to the FBI Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Task Force and the states Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) beginning on April 21 of this year an investigation kicked off of a a Comcast IP address that was in engaged in the downloading and sharing of child pornography, according to task force members, dating back to February 26, of this year.

The task force, was monitoring Bucks County computers using a Peer to Peer (P2P) ile sharing protocol that were sharing images of children engaged in sex acts, the criminal complaint states. On that day a detective was able to “directly link” to, which was later to be identified as Johnson’s, computer and download six files, of which five contained videos of children engaged in sex acts with each othe.

On Tuesday July 6 using an undercover computer, on a P2P network, authorities were able again directly connect to a computer device, later to be identified at Johnson’s  at his Levittown address. Partially completed downloads of files being shared on the network were located said police.

Investigators noted one of the files downloaded was a video that contained a prepubescent girl being held down while a man performed oral sex on her.

On July 8 using the same approach and methods, the ICAC Task Force allegedly downloaded multiple files from a computer located at Johnson’s IP address. One file identified was called “8 Yo Rape and Scream_!!!.mpg” The file was a video of a prepubescent girl being vaginally and digitally raped by an adult male.

Later that day, a search warrant was obtained and executed on Johnson’s home. The suspect, according to court records, told authorities he frequently uses his cell phone on the P2P network to download pornography.

Johnson, according to police, admitted to downloading and opening files containing child pornography, and he listed ‘keywords’ used to search out kiddie porn.

Johnson, according to the probable cause, admitted it was him, on the computer earlier that day on the network, when authorities downloaded the disturbing images.

Investigators, forensically downloaded three still images from Johnson’s phone each of which contained little girls engaged in sexual acts .

Johnson is scheduled to appear on December 15 for a preliminary hearing in Falls Township
