A Morrisville man was arrested by Falls Township Police last week for intent to possess and possession of  controlled substances while prowling at the residence of a family member who has a Protection from Abuse order against him.

Police responded to a suspicious persons report at the Midway Village Trailer Park, on Bristol Pike- lot 30 in the Morrisville section of the township on March 3 just after 8 p.m.

According to Police, the suspect identified as Michael Dittes, 56, once lived in Trailer park with a family member who presently has  a Protection From Abuse order against the man.

Authorities said in the criminal complaint, Dittes appeared to be in an altered state under the influence of a controlled substance and had no shirt when they interviewed the suspect.

Dittes told responding officers that he wanted to go to a local hotel since he could not stay at the family member’s residence. Police asked Dittes if he had any money for a hotel and he said he did and proceeded to search his belongings for his wallet, according to court documents.

Dittes located his wallet in a blue sweatshirt in the yard behind the trailer and removed it from a sweat shirt pocket, police say.

According to police, a large blue bag fell out containing three  “postage bags” containing blue wax paper.  Each one  contained a different substance, police allege; one held “clear white crystals,” the other two contained a white rock material that police allege were heroin, and crack.

Court records show that the suspected drugs were logged and secured into evidence and sent for chemical testing.

The Morrisville man was arrested on February 3 of this year for violating the Protection from Abuse order by Falls authorities and has a string of convictions for theft, burglary, drug offenses, DUI, and reckless endangerment, dating back to 2007.

Dittes was charged by mail summons and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 15 in Falls District Court
