A New Jersey woman has been charged with strangling her sibling for a physical attack that took place over the weekend, police say.
Kathleen Dintino, 52 of Blackwood, New Jersey faces charges of strangulation, simple assault and a harassment summary offense, Falls Police say connected to June 20 incident at the home of sibling of hers in the Morrisville section of the township
Police were dispatched to 3052 Chandler Drive to investigate a report of a altercation between two woman who are family members.
The 55 year-old victim told police her sibling =grabbed her by the neck to the point that she could not breathe saying she felt close to passing out, according to the probable cause affidavit.
The victim said Dintino grabbed her a second time by the neck and left arm leaving reddened abrasions on her arm and neck, police said, then shoving her into a television which caused additional cuts and bruising.
The inciting incident fir the altercation was not included in court documents by police.
Dintino was arraigned and released on $25,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of District Justice Jan Vislosky on July 7.
