A high-speed chase reaching peak speeds of 115 mph that began in Trenton New Jersey late Monday night culminated with the suspects 2- door red BMW fishtailing and then flipping over into a wooded area in Falls Township late Monday night.
Publisher Editor Tom Peterson, of Peterson’s Breaking News of Trenton alerted Lower Bucks Source to the chase involving Trenton Police prior to the hot pursuit crossing over into Bucks County on Rt 1. at 8:42 p.m.
The fleeing driver flew by motorists in what police described as moderately heavy traffic. At one point, according to police, the driver shut of the vehicles lights in effort to throw off the police pursuit while speeding down Rt 1.
As the suspect approached Woolston Drive and Stony Hill Road in Falls Township he apparently lost control of the vehicle, it fishtailed and flipped over on to its side going off road into a wooded area at 8:53 p.m.
Officers from the Falls Township Police Department assisted Trenton Police with taking the motorist into custody.
According to Peterson’s Breaking News of Trenton, the hot pursuit is in connection to a shooting Monday on Walnut Street in Trenton.
Police located an “AR” type weapon in the crashed vehicle.
Falls Township Police did not immediately return requests for information by this news organization late Monday night.
