A Monday morning fire displaced a homeowner and her cat, fire officials said.
The blaze was reported just before 9:30 a,m yesterday.
Fire crews from Falls Township Fire Company #1, Fairless Hills, Levittown #1, Levittown #2 and Morrisville Fire Company were dispatched to the B section of Pennwood Crossing for a reported dwelling fire.
Upon arrival the fire was visible from the side and the roof of the home.
The resident reported she was out safe and she was the only person that lived in the home. She was transported to the hospital by the Levittown/Fairless Hills Rescue Squad for treatment, fire officials said.
There were no injuries to firefighters. The residents cat was reported missing but believed to be out of the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Falls Township Fire Marshal’s office and has been determined to be an accidental fire caused by a portable propane heater.
