Falls Township Police lifted a Shelter In Place (SIP) issued Monday night around 9:30 p.m. one hour after it was issued in a search for a wanted subject.
Residents living in Fairless Hills along Trenton Avenue; in the Morrisville section of the township; and in Morrisville Borough reported receiving the SIP alerts by Falls authorities around 8:25 p.m..
State Police along with officers from Lower Makefield and Middletown were seen searching the surrounding area near the Giant Supermarket and the apartment complexes behind the supermarket.

The SIP alarmed many due to the time frame being a peak period for users of various social media apps and very little actual information provided on police operations.
Some tipsters suggested the SIP was issued in connection to a shooting investigation that Middletown authorities were jointly investigating with Newtown Twp Police.
Lt Chris Clark said the intense multijurisdictional police response was for person with a warrant who fled from police.
