Waste Management made a donation to a local police department in the name of safety last month.
On Friday, October 14, Falls Township Chief of Police Nelson Whitney met with Waste Management Director of Public Affairs, Judy Archibald and District Manager, Bob Jones, as he received an “incredible donation” of $50,000, earmarked for The Bullet Bunker, a powerful containment system that not only stops bullets but keeps shooters, and the environment around them, safe from ricochet and debris, officials said.
“Waste Management’s continuing example of what strong local partnerships should look like will allow us to continue to have our police range operational during renovation. Thanks, on behalf of Falls Township Police, and all our local, state and federal agencies that depend on our range for training and qualification,” Whitney said.
