Woman Attempts to Flee Police Custody Multiple Times, now Jailed



A woman with no fixed address already in police custody put up a fight with officers as she tried to flee from them on three separate occasions recently while being processed for theft related charges.
According to police, Sabrina Goncalves, 26 was taken into custody after a brief foot chase from Low Cost Exhaust located on 45 Spenser Avenue in Falls Twp on the afternoon of June 16.
Falls Police were responding to a report of Goncalves was reportedly rifling through customer vehicles and neanadering in and out of businesses in the area.
Goncalves was taken into custody at the entrance of 101 Lincoln Highway, police said.
During transport, according to court documents, to Falls Police headquarters an escorting officer noticed Goncalves had slipped a cuff off and while being transported from department parking lot to a holding cell.
On her way towards the cell Goncalves bolted out to sally port running out into the parking lot, where she was placed into custody and escorted to her assigned cell, according to the the criminal complaint.
A short time later, police said, Goncalves was being fingerprinted when she again ran out the cell block door out into the police parking area only to be apprehended shortly thereafter by two officers.
Goncalves, for her efforts, has been charged with escape, resisting arrest, defiant trespass and two related misdemeanor counts.
She was remanded to Bucks County Prison on 10% of $100,ooo where she awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 22, according to online court records.
