The discovery of a deceased person for the second day in a row in the area of the Delaware Canal has launched a multijurisdictional probe by authorities on both sides of the Delaware River Sunday night.
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Lower Makefield Township Police were dispatched to the area of East Ferry Road and the Delaware Canal for the report of a deceased individual in a vehicle, authorities said.
Arriving officers located the vehicle and confirmed the discovery of a deceased individual .
As a result of this incident, the Lower Makefield Township Police Department and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office are assisting the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the City of Trenton Police Department with an on-going investigation which originated in Trenton, NJ, said a LMTPD spokesperson.
There is no ongoing concern for community safety, police said.
Anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area of East Ferry Road and the Delaware Canal, during the morning of November 16, are asked to contact the Lower Makefield Township Police Department at 215-493-4011.

On Saturday evening a deceased man was discovered in the Delaware Canal in Falls Township.
The Pennsylvania State Police are leading that investigation and have so far declined to comment/respond to this news organizations request for comment.
There is nothing other than proximity to each other that connects the two deaths at the canal over the weekend as of publication time.
