Lower Bucks Resident Victimized in Out of State Online Puppy Scam



Online scamming of the public is not something new or original, but this one specific incident highlights the lengths fraudsters are willing to go.
According to Lower Makefield Police, a local was victimized in online puppy purchase reported to authorities on May 8.
The victim reported after paying an unidentified amount online they drove to North Carolina only to find people living at the given address had no knowledge about a puppies for sale transaction.
According to Google Maps, a drive from Lower Makefield Township to the North Carolina border spans approximately 750 miles with an estimated drive time of 7 hours and 20 minutes.
For the victim swindled, it had to have been one angry long drive home.
