Lower Makefield Police Reports: Altered $150 Check Cashed 9 Times, Theft of Hennessey Worth $280 and More



4/11/2024 – Theft -1200 block of Polo Run Dr. reported at 10:24 a.m. Complainant reported theft of package.

4/11/2024 – Theft – 900 block of Morgan Dr. reported at 8:19 p.m. Complainant reported a check they wrote was altered and cashed nine times for $150.00 each time.

4/11/2024 – Retail Theft – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Fine Wine & Good Spirits reported at 12:17 p.m. Manager reported theft of $281.56 worth of Hennessey by an unknown male. Investigation ongoing.

4/10/24 – Identity Theft – Unit block of S. Homestead Dr. reported at 9:50 a.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) opened an account for electricity in Miami, FL.

4/10/24 – Credit Card Fraud – 1400 block of Brentwood Rd. reported at 12:23 p.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) removed $5,900.00 from their debit card and sent to another unknown account.

4/9/24 – Theft – 1200 block of Pine Grove Rd. reported at 10:15 a.m. Complainant reported theft of approximately $250,000.00 from a savings account. Investigation ongoing.

4/9/24 – Fraud – 200 block of Marble Ct. reported at 9:55 a.m. Complainant reported hiring Home Repair LLC to complete work on their residence that was damaged by a hail storm. The insurance check was cashed, but the work has not been completed. The company has not responded to the homeowner’s attempts to contact them. Investigation ongoing.

4/9/24 – DUI Arrest – Township Line Rd. & Sterling Rd. reported at 10:43 p.m. Complainant reported disabled vehicle at the location. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 66 year old male driver from Trenton, NJ for Driving Under the Influence.

4/8/24 – Identity Theft – 600 block of Rose Hollow Rd. reported at 2:15 p.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) attempted to file a tax return in their name.

4/7/2024 – Drug Arrest – Unit block of Oxford Valley Rd. reported at 10:05 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of 80 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The 19 year old male passenger from Morrisville, PA was summonsed for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

4/6/2024 – Theft from Vehicle – 500 block of S. Dove Rd. reported at 1:38 p.m. Complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a laptop, Beats headphones and Air Pods.

4/6/2024 – Fraud – 2200 Yardley Rd. reported at 5:06 p.m. Complainant reported several unauthorized withdraws from their bank account totaling $21,000.00.

4/5/2024 – Fraud – 1000 block of Lehigh Dr. reported at 11:45 a.m.. Complainant reported receiving a fraud alert from their bank for a $2,800.00 transaction for Draft Kings that they did not authorize.

4/5/2024 – Fraud – 600 block of Woodford Ln. reported at 7:11 p.m. Complainant reported receiving an email from CVS in reference to a refund. They were advised to purchase a $500 gift card and submit it to a link to obtain their refund.

4/5/2024 -Theft – 1300 block of Moon Dr. reported at 1:45 p.m. Complainant reported sometime between 4/2-4/5, unknown person(s) removed the license plate from their vehicle.

4/5/2024 – Simple Assault Arrest – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. reported at 4:06 p.m. Police responded to the report of a male walking on the roadway with one sock, shorts, and no shirt. Police conducted a well being check and the male appeared to be under the influence of narcotics while walking the wrong way in the roadway. While attempting to stop the noncompliant male, a struggle ensued causing the officer to lose his radio. A Good Samaritan called 911 as the officer was not able to get to his radio to call for backup. The male was eventually detained by police. The 43 year old male from LMT was taken into police custody and charged with Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and pedestrian traffic violations. He was arraigned by District Justice Wertman and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
