Lower Makefield Police Reports: Contractor Cashes Check Doesn’t Do Work, Philly Woman Charged for Retail Thefts and More

Lower Makefield Twp Police Reports March 28 to April 1, 2024

4/1/2024

Fraud: 1400 block of Heller Dr. reported at 11:15 a.m.. Complainant reported that over the past year, they sent approximately $72,000 to a grant writing company to obtain a grant check to help the less fortunate. When they went to cash the check, the bank told them it was fraudulent.

300 block of N. Fieldstone Ct. reported at 2:59 pm. Complainant reported hiring Home Repair LLC in November 2023 to complete work on their residence that was damaged by a hail storm. The insurance check was cashed, but the work has not been completed. The company has not responded to the homeowner’s attempts to contact them. Investigation ongoing.

200 block of S. Fieldstone Ct. reported at 2:08 p.m. Complainant reported hiring Home Repair LLC in July 2023 to complete work on their residence that was damaged by a hail storm. The insurance check was cashed, but the work has not been completed. The company has not responded to the homeowner’s attempts to contact them. Investigation ongoing.

Identity Theft  – 700 block of Stony Hill Rd. at Citizen’s Bank reported at 1:27 p.m. Manager reported two persons in the bank attempting to commit fraud. Investigation revealed the male was attempting to access others’ business accounts using a fake ID. The female was working as a translator with a fake ID as well. The female admitted to their possibly being Crystal Meth in the vehicle. The vehicle was seized and a search warrant was requested. The 31 year old female from Long Island, NY and the 59 year old male from Flushing, NY were taken into police custody. They were charged with Identity Theft, Forgery, Access Device Fraud and Conspiracy. They were arraigned by Judge Baranowski. The female was sent to BCCF in lieu of 10%/$75,000 bail and the male was sent to BCCF in lieu of 10%/$150,000 bail.

Retail Theft – 900 block of Vansant Dr. at Wegmans reported at 2:08 p.m. Loss Prevention detained a n 18 year old male from Newtown, PA and an 18 year old male from Warminster, PA for taking $38.69 worth of merchandise without paying. They were taken into police custody and cited for Retail Theft.

Criminal Mischief  – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Shop Rite reported at 2:09 p.m. Complainant reported a rock thrown at their vehicle.

Retail Theft– 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Shop Rite reported at 2:16 P.m.. Loss Prevention detained a 57 year old female from Philadelphia, PA for taking $335.40 worth of merchandise on multiple dates without paying. She was taken into police custody.

3/28/2024

Weapons Arrest  – Oxford Valley Rd. & Rt. 1 reported at 2:01 p.m. Police on patrol observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area. A traffic stop was conducted. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 18 year old male driver from Philadelphia, PA for Possession of a Firearm without a License, Obstructing Law Enforcement, Resisting Arrest, and related charges. He was arraigned by Judge Gallagher and sent to BCCF in lieu of 10%/$75,000 bail.

Identity Theft: 1300 block of Heller Dr. reported at 3:30 p.m Complainant reported unknown person(s) opened a Capital One account in their name.

600 block of Friar Dr. reported at 4:37 pm. Complainant reported their identity was used to open multiple accounts.
