Lower Makefield Township Police Honor Officers for Saving Woman’s Life



When he arrived he found a 25 year old woman unconscious in a parked vehicle. He quickly assessed the victim recognizing she was in respiratory distress and surmised she was suffering from an overdose.
McTamany administered one dose of Naloxone, also known as Narcan
Officer Stephen Tamburo arrived on scene and administered an additional dose of Naloxone to the victim.
Moments later, the victim began to breathe normally and regained consciousness and was transported to a local medical facility for evaluation and treatment.
Tamburo and McTamany were recognized Wednesday with Life Saving commendations.
Since the implementation of Naloxone to Bucks County police departments began in 2015, the Lower Makefield Township Police Department alone has saved approximately 30 individuals from a fatal overdose.
