Lower Makefield Township Police Reports: May 31 – June 6, 2024

6/6/2024 – Retail Theft – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Kohl’s reported at 1:57 p.m. Police responded to the report of a retail theft in progress by three individuals. Police located one suspect in the wooded area across from Kohl’s. The 23-year-old female from Newark, NJ was taken into police custody for taking $503.50 worth of merchandise without paying. She was arraigned by District Justice Kronnagel and released.

6/6/2024 – Retail Theft – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Shop Rite reported at 5:01 p.m. Police responded to the report of a retail theft in progress. Two previous retail thefts were committed by this person on 5/14 and 5/22. The 63-year-old female from Philadelphia, PA was taken into police custody for taking $250.07 worth of merchandise without paying. A total of $708.01 was taken during all three thefts. She was arraigned by District Justice Baranoski and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

6/3/2024 – Fleeing/Eluding Arrest – 900 block of Stony Hill Rd. at Shady Brook Farm reported at 3:49 a.m. Complainant reported attempted theft of motor vehicle in progress by a subject in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee. Officers attempted to conduct a felony car stop, however, the vehicle fled. A pursuit was initiated but terminated shortly after when the vehicle entered I-295 in the wrong direction. Officers were later able to locate the vehicle on the 2200 block of Yardley Rd. A juvenile male admitted to being the driver and he was taken into custody.

6/3/2024 – Fraud – Unit block of Lavender Dr. reported at 12:20 p.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and attempted to cash it.

6/3/2024 – Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft – :600 block of Palmer Ln. reported at 11:16 a.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) smashed their rear driver’s side window and tampered with the ignition.

6/3/2024 – Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft – 600 block of Palmer Ln. reported at 1:47 p.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) smashed their rear driver’s side window and damaged the ignition.

6/3/2024 – Retail Theft – 900 block of Vasant Dr. at Wegmans reported at 4:37 p.m. Loss Prevention reported two unknown males entered the store and removed $180.56 worth of merchandise without paying. When confronted, they dropped the merchandise and fled on foot.

5/31/2024 – DUI Arrest – Big Oak Rd. & Knightsbridge Dr. reported at 1:05 a.m. Police on patrol observed a disabled vehicle on the side of the road. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 28-year-old male driver from LMT for Driving Under the Influence.
