Cops: Philly Woman Charged for Possessing Stolen Gun by LMPD

A Philadelphia woman was arrested and charged for stealing a firearm by Lower Makefield Police over the weekend.

According to Lower Makefield Police, officers on patrol made a vehicle stop due to alleged observed violations on the 1600 block of Big Oak Road on Saturday around 2:20 pm.

Upon further investigation a firearm was found in the vehicle and the vehicle also had two bullet holes on the passenger side as well as a spent shell casing inside,police said in a release.

The driver, Kadira Williams, 22, of Philadelphia told police, she was in the area of a homicide in Philadelphia earlier in the week.

A records check revealed the firearm was reported stolen in 2018 out of Delaware County.

Williams  was taken into police custody and charged with receiving stolen property, carrying a firearm without a license and related offenses.

She was arraigned by District Justice Snow and sent to BCP in lieu of $50,000.00/10% bail, however, she posted bail the following morning and was released.

Williams is tentatively scheduled to appear in Morrisville District Court on June 29.
