Recently Middletown Township Officer Mike Marks was honored for a lifetime of service and presented with a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives upon his retirement.
Marks’ final signoff was on March 20:
Marks joined the ranks of the Middletown Township Police Department 30 years ago.
“His retirement has long been on the horizon, trust us, he talked about it frequently” police officials said.

He signed off for the final time on March 20 and as is custom his impact as a policemen was transmitted into the ether for all to hear:
During his career, Mike served the department in several important roles. He was a Field Training Officer, a UAS operator, was an outstanding firearms instructor, and proudly worked as a K-9 handler, partnering with two police dogs during his career, Usher and Bach. Beyond his assignments and accomplishments, Mike is known throughout the department as a mentor, leader, and trusted colleague.
For over 30 years, Mike has given his time, his energy, and all of himself to this police department. Every day he came to work, he helped make this police department a better place and our township a safer community.
