Morrisville Police say a 59 year-old Trenton man was arrested and jailed Friday night on charges stemming from a “porch pirate” incident earlier this week.
Thaddeus White was arraigned and charged with theft, receiving stolen property and providing false identification to police late Friday night.
According to police, at approximately 8 p.m. Officers Victor Zumpano and Smeltzer observed White at 7- eleven at Bridge Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Police investigated further determining White was the male seen stealing the package from the porch on Clymer Avenue seen in social media posts on Tuesday.
Police Chief George McClay said the “defendant has an intensive criminal background and was also wanted in New Jersey for burglary.”
District Justice Benz sent White to Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $50,000 bail. He is currently scheduled for a preliminary hearing on February 11.
