Cops: Suspects Sought in Attempted Morrisville Burglary

Morrisville Police are seeking the identity of at least two burglary suspects who attempted to break in to a local auto dealer Wednesday.

According to police the incident occurred just after 12:30 a.m, Wednesday when an alarm was activated at DA Motors on 400 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police on arrival found the front door of the motor vehicle dealership was forced open, later confirming it was done so by a crow bar.

Police reviewed video surveillance footage, observing two black males, mid to late 20’s  attempting to force open the front door at 12:33 am with the crowbar, police say. The second suspect stood watch as the first man tried to break into the structure.

Police say the suspect (pictured below) with the crowbar was wearing all black with black shoes. The second suspect was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt with white draw strings, white logo on the left breast, black pants and white and black  Nike Jordan Basketball sneakers.

Both of the males came from and exited via Green Street, police say, with the sounding of the alarm scaring them off.

Further Police investigation revealed through video surveillance, shows a silver mini-van, possibly an Oldsmobile Silhouette, turn onto Green St. from S. Pennsylvania Ave at approximately 12:25 am, according to police. The vehicle parks on the north side of Green and two males exit the vehicle, while the driver waits inside the min-van.

After several minutes the two males return from the attempted burglary at DA Motors and the vehicle leaves the area toward Washington Street.

Police ask the public if you have any information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects to please contact the department (215)295-8111 or submitting an anonymous tip by clicking here.
