Cops: Trenton Man Steals Meats and Fish from Giant Supermarket, Jailed

A Trenton man was arrested by Morrisville Police for stealing just under $285 worth meats and seafood from  a Giant Company supermarket last week on West Trenton Avenue.

Willie Randall, 58 was jailed last week on 10 percent of $25,000 bail for felony theft and receiving stolen property.

According to Police, Randall was reported by the supermarkets loss prevention specialist for walking out the store with meats and seafood, court records show.

The employee provided police with a description of the man, and the dark colored Chevy Venture the suspect got into after having an argument with store personnel, court documents say.

Police on scene, say in the criminal complaint, they were able to locate Randall in the backseat of the vehicle laying down.

Randall told police he stole the items to support his substance abuse disorder, police say.

The responding officer conducted a criminal background check of the man revealing “numerous conviction in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for retail theft.”

Magisterial District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel arraigned Randall  Friday afternoon sending him to Bucks County Correctional because he could not post the required bail.

Randall is scheduled to appear back in Morrisville District Court on March 17.
