Morrisville Mayor Swears In Two New Police Officers

Mayor Gary Wallace swore in two new police officers at Tuesday night’s Morrisville Borough Council meeting: Officer Michelle Williamson and Officer Christopher J. Carlin.

After working part-time for Morrisville for the past two and a half years, Williamson joins the department full-time. She was a police officer with Penndel Borough and Bryn Athyn Borough for four years. She also worked as a police dispatcher for nearly 20 years, the last six with the Pennsylvania State Police. A Psychology major, Michelle holds an Associate of Arts degree and aspires to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology or Behavior Analysis. ย Sheย  spent the first three years of her life on Harper Avenue in Morrisville. Later on, she grew up in Bensalem and has been a resident of Bucks County her entire life. Williamson graduated from Montgomery County Municipal Police Academy in June of 2014. She loves spending time with her boxer, Coconut, her family and friends, and enjoys music, the beach, and frogs – earning her the nickname “Froggy” many years ago.ย  She is excited about continuing to serve the community full-time, according to Chief Ciampa.

Carlin grew up in Delaware County where he graduated from Cardinal Oโ€™Hara High School and then attended Delaware County Community College for Emergency Management. He always desired to be a part of the community, and during high school, joined his local volunteer fire department where heโ€™s still an active member today. Carlin began his law enforcement career in 2018. He attended the Philadelphia Police Academy and worked as a full-time Patrol Officer for Temple University for nearly 6 years. In addition to patrol, he was a field training officer and has advanced training in crisis intervention. He also comes with previous experience as a Correctional Officer. While off duty, Carlin enjoys hiking with his dogs, watching Philadelphia sports and spending time with family and friends, said Chief Ciampa.

Earlier this year, three new officers were sworn in by Mayor Wallace.
