U.S. Marshals Arrest Man Wanted for Morrisville Apt Complex Shooting, In New Jersey

A Morrisville man  accused of shooting another man in the abdomen at an apartment complex last weekend was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Friday, in New Jersey

Kevin Watts 42, considered armed and dangerous by Bucks County authorities was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and the New York/New Jersey, Regional Fugitive Task Force at a Econo Lodge in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

Watts was wanted by the Bucks County Detectives for a shooting that occurred at 1:00 a.m. on October 11th at the Orchard View Apartments in Morrisville Borough, according to police

After a verbal dispute, Watts allegedly shot another man in the abdomen and then fled the scene, according to court records.

On the same date, a warrant for aggravated assault was issued and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia was asked for assistance.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., on October 17th, investigators from the Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia developed information Watts was presently at a hotel in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Upon investigating hotels in the area, Watts was found at the Econo Lodge and taken into custody without incident. Marshals believe Watts had fled to New Jersey immediately after the shooting and had been hiding there since. Watts was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility where he awaits extradition back to Bucks County, 

This arrest was a collaborative effort between the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Forces in Philadelphia and New Jersey, Bucks County Detectives, Morrisville Borough Police Department, and the Bucks County Sheriff’s, said authorities.
