Chemical Tractor Trailer Bursts into Flames

Fire crews were called out Sunday evening to beat back a chemical truck fire in the Falls Township section of Morrisville.

The tractor trailer, said to be hauling chemicals caught fire in the area of 1535 South Pennsylvania Avenue as dusk approached in the front cab, said Fire Marshal Richard Dippolito.

Fire crews donned hazmat  protective gear to put the fire down that was said to contain sulfuric acid, bleach and chlorine.

No injuries were reported.
