Nearby: Philly Man Wanted for Aggravated Assault, Catalytic Converter Theft



A Philadelphia man seen cutting off a catalytic converter in the parking lot of a discount retailer by Lower Southampton Police, fleeing the scene and almost running over a detective.
According to a LSPD press release, Anthony Davalos, 42, on July 16 was observed underneath a vehicle in the Five Below, 95 East Street Road parking lot “…up to his elbows in exhaust.”
When approached by police Davalos fled the scene driving his Ford focus towards the responding detective and smashing into a parked vehicle during his escape, said police.
An arrest warrant for the alleged catalytic converter thief was issued Friday on three felony counts of aggravated assault, one count of theft of metals and 12 related offenses.
Davalos “…does not appear to care for the safety of others or the environment” LSH authorities said.
