Yardley Weekend Police Reports: Man Charged with DUI, Leaving Accident, First Responders Rescue Woman from Vehicle in High Water, and More

80 Block of S. Main St.

CHARGES:               

DUI & Reporting Accidents

DETAILS:                 

On Saturday, 4-9 at 2:51 AM, a YBPD officer responded to a one car crash where a Nissan pick-up was reported to have fled.  Responding officers located the vehicle on N. Main St. with malfunctioning taillights.  Investigation led to probable cause to believe the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol and was involved in the hit and run accident.

As a result, a man, age 35 from Titusville, NJ was placed under arrest, processed and released.  The man is charged with DUI offenses and leaving the scene of an accident. The matter is pending court.

LOCATION:             

  1. Delaware Av. near Brown St.

DETAILS:                 

On Saturday, 4-9 at 5:09 AM, YBPD officers responded a vehicle in the water call along N. Delaware Av.  Responding officers located the vehicle which was occupied by the driver.  Yardley-Makefield Firefighters responded and extracted the woman to safety uninjured.  The vehicle was later recovered by the Borough tow contractor.  Investigation determined the operator, a woman from Levittown, PA disregarded the posted closure signs and attempted to drive through the high water.

Sunday, April 10, 2022 : 12:10 AM

LOCATION:             

Main St. and Afton Av.

DETAILS:                 

On Sunday, 4-10 at 12;10 AM, YBPD and LMTPD officers responded possible armed subject call.  Responding officers located the man yelling in the street.  The man was detained and a warrant check revealed an open warrant held by Bucks County Sheriffs Department.  The man, age 35, was arrested, processed and transferred to the Bucks County Prison.
