The image of a white sheet covering a body on the northbound lane of I-95 between the Street Road and Bristol Exits shocked motorists and reminded many of how precious life is after a motor vehicle accident early Monday morning stopped traffic on the highway for hours with a Levittown man dying in the crash.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, at approximately 4:58 am, troopers were dispatched to the area of I-95 Northbound, Mile Marker 37.8, Bensalem Township for a report of a motor vehicle crashing into the center median, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a 2008 Ford Fusion, driven by a 65-year-old male from Levittown struck the center barrier, and the operator was deceased. Both a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, operated by a 43-year-old male from Camden, NJ and a 2005 Nissan 350Z, operated by a 68-year-old male from Philadelphia were also involved in the crash, Trooper Nathan T. Branosky said.
Bristol Borough resident Carla Delp asked for prayers for her family, as the man who died in the crash is a “family member.” The victims name has not been released as of publication time.
The highway was intermittently closed during this crash investigation and completely reopened at approximately 9:30 am., Branosky, said.
Cause and manner of death to be determined pending autopsy results from the Bucks County Coroner’s office.
Assisting with this investigation: Troop M Forensic Services Unit, Bensalem Township Police Department, Bristol Township Police Department, PENNDOT and the Bucks County Coroner’s Office.
