A Levittown woman and her male companion from Philadelphia are charged with retail theft in two alleged Lower Southampton incidents.
Lower Southampton Township Police responded to the ACME located along E. Street Road in Feasterville, last Friday, for the report of a retail theft in progress.
Upon arrival, police said, they observed the described individuals loading a vehicle with the merchandise. It was reported that a male and female loaded a shopping cart with consumable items, passed all points of sale, and fled the store without paying.
The female was identified as 46-year-old Nicole Welsh of Levittown. The male was identified as 45-year-old Oliver Lee of Philadelphia, said police.
Further investigation revealed Welsh and Lee were identified as being in the Five-Below prior to entering the ACME and leaving the establishment with unpaid merchandise, according to authorities.
Welsh and Lee were arrested, charged with retail theft, stolen property, and criminal conspiracy. They will receive summons to the court by mail.
