Warminster Police recently promoted two officers to corporals and welcomed two new hires.
The Warminster Township Board of Supervisors announced that police officers James Belvin and Ryan Bunda were promoted to Corporal. Also announced was the hiring of two new police officers, Taj Weems and Sean Metz. The four men were sworn in by the Honorable Christopher E. O’Neill, Magisterial Judge, Bucks County at the December 4 Warminster Township Supervisors’ meeting.
Corporal Bunda grew up in Bristol Borough and graduated Bristol High School. He attended Cabrini College where he majored in criminology and minored in history. Bunda attended the Montgomery County Police Academy and began his career in 2013 as a part-time police officer with the Tullytown and Bristol Borough Police Departments. In 2016, he joined the Warminster Police Department. Bunda is a member of MIRT and also serves as a Defensive Tactics instructor. He is married and has three children.
Corporal Belvin grew up in Langhorne and was a 1992 graduate of Neshaminy High School. He attended the Montgomery County Police Academy and graduated in 1997. Belvin began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. In 1999, he worked as a police officer on a part-time basis at the Yardley Borough, Penndel Borough, and Langhorne Borough Police Departments. In 2004, Belvin joined the Warminster Township Police Department as a full-time police officer. Since joining the Warminster Township Police Department, he has received various certifications in gang investigations, drug trafficking, and hostage negotiation. Belvin is a founding member of the department’s Highway Patrol Division and member of the Bucks County Major Incident Response Team (MIRT). He is married and has two children.
“It gives me great pride to announce the promotion of these two outstanding officers, Ryan Bunda and James Blevin, to the rank of Corporal,” said Police Chief James C. Donnelly III. “Their hard work, integrity, and dedication to serving our community have stood out at every turn. I’m confident they will continue to lead with honor and reinforce the high standards of the Warminster Police Department.”

Officer Weems is a resident of Philadelphia and is a graduate of La Salle College High School. He attended Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, where he was a National Army ROTC Scholarship recipient and a member of the Hood College soccer team. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. Weems is a Second Lieutenant in the Army Signal Corps Reserves. He is excited to put his training into action at the Warminster Township Police Department and make a positive impact on the community.
Officer Metz is a lifelong resident of Warminster Township and graduate of William Tennent High School. He attended York College, where he was a member of the soccer team and graduated with honors, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Metz is eager to begin his career at the Warminster Township Police Department and committed to protecting the community he calls home.
