State Police Trevose Barracks Crash Miscellaneous Reports Mid-January 2026
Jan 1 – Bensalem Twp.
A two-vehicle crash occurred on January 1, 2026 at approximately 9:15 a.m., on Interstate 95 South, Bristol Township. A 2018 Jeep Cherokee traveled south in the middle lane. It was passed nn the left by a 2014 Infiniti Q50. At the time of this crash, icy road conditions were due to a recent winter storm. The Infiniti traveled at a speed greater than reasonable, given the road and weather conditions. It lost control and spun counterclockwise. The Infiniti crossed across all travel lanes to the right, hit the right guide rail and then was redirected back across all travel lanes. As it came back across the travel lanes to the right, the Jeep veered to the left to avoid a collision. However, it was struck on its passenger side by the Infiniti. As the Jeep was struck, the Jeep also side-swiped the left side guide rail and came to a stop partially on the left shoulder. The Infiniti came to a stop in the left travel lane. Both vehicles were disabled. A passenger in the Infiniti reported dizziness but was cleared by EMS on scene. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Scrappy’s Auto Service.
Jan 16 – Bensalem Twp.
At approximately 5:40 p.m. a reportable two-vehicle crash occurred on I-95 south, just north of Woodhaven Rd., Bensalem Twp. A 2021 Jaguar F-Type traveled south in the left lane behind a 2025 Toyota Rav4 at an unsafe speed. The Jaguar struck the Toyota’s rear end as the Toyota slowed down to stop. The accident caused disable damage to both vehicles and no injuries to either driver . PennDOT and Emilie Auto Repair & Towing assisted at the scene. The driver of the Jaguar was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
Jan 17- Middletown Twp.
At approximately 7:01 p.m., a 2024 Mazda veered into a guide rail on I-295 in Middletown Township. No injuries were reported.
Jan 18 – Bensalem Twp.
At approximately 8:38 a.m., a crash occurred on 1-95N, Bensalem Twp., as a Tesla driver lost control in snowy conditions and struck a guide rail. Driver was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. No injuries were reported.
Jan 19 – Morrisville Borough
This crash occurred at approximately 3:41 p.m. on Route 1 north of the Toll Bridge. A 2008 Mazda 3 and a 2018 RAM 2500 traveled in the right lane of traffic. The RAM slowed for traffic ahead. The Mazda traveled directly behind the RAM at a speed above reasonable speed for traffic conditions and struck the RAM. After impact, both vehicles stopped in the right lane/shoulder. The Mazda driver was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
Jan 26 – Morrisville Borough
A DUI accident occurred around 12:28 a.m. on the US-1 Toll Bridge north of Morrisville Borough. An emergency vehicle was assisting a disabled vehicle with its lights activated attempting to push a disabled vehicle to a nearby location. While attempting to push the vehicle, a 2009 Toyota Camry was travelling in the far right-lane when it failed to reduce its speed or change lanes causing the Camry to hit a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. The Camry came to a stop in the middle of the far right lane (blocking) and the Sonata came to a stop on the right-side shoulder. The Camry driver was arrested for DUI.
