A Levittown man previously arrested by police for allegedly attempting to meet who he thought was a teen girl for a sexual encounter is now in federal custody after being indicted, for attempted use of an interstate commerce facility to entice a minor to engage in sexual conduct and attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor, authorities said.
Bo Branstetter, 30, of Levittown appeared in federal court Wednesday for arraignment before U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth L. Toplin and has been detained by federal authorities, pending trial.
A federal grand jury indicted Branstetter after an FBI investigation subsequent to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania filing the charges.
According to federal court records, the indictment alleges that, from about June 13, 2026, to June 23, 2026, Branstetter used the internet and cellular phone service to knowingly persuade, induce, entice, and coerce a minor to engage in sexual activity for which any person could be charged with a criminal offense, that is, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and statutory sexual assault.
As further alleged, also in June of this year, Branstetter attempted to transfer obscene content to a person he believed to be a minor.

Bensalem Police arrested Branstetter as part of an ongoing sting operation in which sex predators are caught conversing on social media/dating apps with females believed to be minors.
During the initial conversation, Branstetter, said he wanted to engage in sexual acts and requested that the juvenile send explicit photographs of herself, police said.
Branstetter at that time sent several sexually explicit photos and videos of himself, court records show.
Branstetter on June 23 drove from his home to meet up with the juvenile but instead was met by Bensalem Township Police who took him into custody without incident. He is charged with 14 sexual assault related felonies and was due back in court today (Thursday at 2:15 p.m.) on the Bucks County charges.
Branstetter, police said, was out on bail for similar charges in Camden County. He was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, sexual abuse of children , and other related offense, according to Camden County prosecutors. ‘
Branstetter won’t be going anywhere anytime soon now with three open cases. The alleged predator, on the federal charges, faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum potential sentence of life imprisonment, if convicted.
He is represented by Richard John Fuschino Jr., Esq out of Philadelphia, according to county court records.
