The 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) is now available to help you qualify for a state grant and other financial aid through the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA).
The FAFSA® plays a key role in the PA State Grant application process and supports several additional programs.
After you submit your FAFSA®, PHEAA will guide you through the next steps in the PA State Grant process. If you’re a first-time applicant, you’ll need to complete the PA State Grant Form (SGF). Most returning students won’t need to complete the SGF, but some might. If you need to submit the SGF or any additional forms, we’ll let you know, said officials.
