Athlete Academy Comes to Fairless Hills YMCA, First Two Sessions Free

YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is launching the first Athlete Academy in Fairless Hills and will offer the first two sessions for free.

Beginning on Monday January 2 and January 9, 2023, kids ages 10-12 are invited to try the class from 6:40-7:25 PM, with teenagers 12-15 offered the class from 4:00-4:45 PM. Those who choose to register for the program will meet weekly at their respective times.

The group training program is designed for young athletes to improve their speed, agility, strength, balance and coordination.

Athlete Academy is the result of a partnership between the YMCA Health & Wellness and Sports & Play departments, led by Lead Trainer William Lacewell. Sessions include strength-building exercises and competitive games, highlighting sport-specific movements while building healthy habits.

“I’m excited to be kicking off 2023 with our Athlete Academy,” said Andrew Yannarella, vice president of operations for the Fairless Hills branch of YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties. “There are so many families with young, talented athletes in the Lower Bucks area, and what better way to hone your skills and abilities than with the professionals who have developed this special training course at the Y.”

To learn more about how to register for the Athlete Academy, you can call or stop by the Fairless Hills branch, 601 South Oxford Valley Road, or visit their website by clicking here.

Registration for the two free sessions is not required.
