Legal Aid, State Rep Davis to Hold “2nd Chance Expo” Tonight

You can get started clearing your criminal record, so you can improve your opportunities for jobs, school and
housing and etc next month at second chance event.

The event co-hosted by the Legal Aid Society of Southeastern Pennsylvania and State Rep Tina Davis will be held on Thursday May 12  from 6-8 p.m.  at St. Thomas Aquinas Church 601 Bristol Pike | Croydon, PA 1902.

A Spokeswoman for Legal Aid said each person’s case is nuanced and as such speaking with attorneys will help to get  a better idea of which of the legal processes could be used for an expungement in a given case. 

Pennsylvania laws have changed dramatically in recent years she said, providing folks with the opportunity to engage the process providing a great opportunity to get help which can remove barriers to better jobs and potential life barriers. 

You’ can meet one-on-one with a Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) advocate to learn your time frame and steps needed in order for criminal charges to be removed

Additional organizations will also be on hand to also with access to resources and contacts for more help.
