BRISTOL, PA (October 8, 2025) — Lower Bucks Hospital has been honored with a “Platinum” award status by HAP for its exceptional commitment to promoting organ donation awareness during National Donate Life Month this past April. This recognition reflects the hospital’s comprehensive initiatives, which included extensive training sessions, targeted campaigns to register new organ donors, engaging community events, and impactful public communication efforts.

The annual Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge is designed to motivate hospitals throughout Pennsylvania to elevate awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation. HAP collaborates with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and two vital organ procurement organizations—the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) and the Gift of Life Donor Program—to facilitate this critical initiative.

During the month of April, participating hospitals, including Lower Bucks Hospital, implemented various activities aimed at enhancing donation efforts. These activities consisted of internal training sessions, coordination meetings, community outreach events, and public awareness campaigns. Hospitals were recognized at various levels—Titanium, Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze—based on their contributions to this life-saving cause.

This year’s challenge witnessed a remarkable increase in participation, with 121 hospitals across Pennsylvania joining the effort. HAP commends its member hospitals for their unwavering dedication to supporting and raising awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation. Currently, over 6,500 individuals in Pennsylvania are in urgent need of life-saving organ transplants, with a single donor capable of saving up to eight lives and enhancing the lives of up to 75 others.

Michael Motte, CEO of Lower Bucks Hospital, expressed his pride in the hospital’s achievement, stating, “Receiving the Platinum designation from HAP is a testament to our team’s relentless efforts to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation. We are committed to not only enhancing our internal practices but also engaging our community to ensure that every potential donor is recognized and valued. Together, we can make a significant impact in saving lives and giving hope to those in need.”

“Hospital teams rely on organ, eye, and tissue donors to save lives and give patients a chance for a bright future,” said HAP President and CEO Nicole Stallings. “Pennsylvania hospitals and our partners have done an outstanding job of supporting and raising awareness about donation. We applaud the hospital teams who participated in our annual challenge and demonstrated their strong commitment to improving the health of their communities.”
