Volunteer Work Day. Saturday, October 1st, 9am-12pm. On this Volunteer Work Day, we will be focusing on the removal of “invasive plants” throughout SLNC. Thanks to generous grant-funding from Giant and Keep PA Beautiful, we were able to purchase much-needed tools to help with this project.
Volunteer Work Days take place on the first Saturday of each month, from 9am to 12pm. The beautiful SLNC Trails/Grounds would not be so beautiful if not for the help our many amazing, dedicated Volunteers!
For those helping out on October 1st (or any of our upcoming Volunteer Work Days), be prepared to get wet and dirty. Bring a refillable water bottle. These events are held Rain or Shine (with rare exceptions for extreme weather conditions). Meet at the SLNC Pavilion (near the SLNC Visitors’ Center). Register at www.SilverLakeNatureCenter.org or call 215-785-1177.
