Applications are now available for the 2026 Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo Scholarship Foundation Award, in which college bound students can win a scholarship for up to $2,000
Bensalem residents currently in their senior year of high school can apply.
The foundation was established to help promote continuing education by providing financial assistance towards college tuition payments for seniors planning to attend a college or univeristy.
The selection process made up by at least two members of the foundation committee. Up to seven Benslaem high school seniors can win a scholarship.
Students must enroll in at least a two-year, full-time day course in a school above the secondary level and demonstrate qualities of leadership, good citizenship, and scholastic ability.
Scholarship payments will be made to the student by the committee after a copy of thier bursar bill is received, showing payment has been made.
Deadline to apply is Friday April 17, 2026.
