A letter sent out to the families of children attending public school in Bristol Borough seeks to measure interest in those wanting a virtual attendance option for the next school year.
The letter sent out by Dr. Rose Minniti Superintendent of Schools last week, said “Although we are anticipating there will be ongoing guidance from the PA Department of Health regarding our Health and the upcoming school year, our overall goal is to return to a normal classroom environment for our students to the greatest extent possible.”ย
Minniti said the districts overall goal is to returnย back to a normal class room environment but understands families might want the virtual option open to them also.ย
“Although we strongly encourage families to send their students back for live instruction next year, we also understand that some families may still want a fully virtual option for their students,” she said.ย
To gauge the need for virtual instruction school administrators would like families to fill out a survey about preferred instructional mode for the 2021-2022 school year.

Minniti explained, we may not be able to offer the same fully live classes at each grade level next year” she said but other options will be explored.ย
The superintendent closes out the letter saying “our expectation is that students who return to school for live classes or remain virtual will remain in that mode of instruction for the school year unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances.”ย
